PURPOSE OF JOB We are a Enterprise Innovation Program devoted to innovate and incubate new concepts, product, and process to enable fast prototyping, product and testing development to accelerate Owens Corning's Multimaterial systems (MMS) innovation agenda within Residential Construction.
Being an integral part of this program, MMS engineers and scientists work closely with Product Developers side-by -side to identify, develop and apply suitable testing methods to enable product development.

PROTOTYPING AND TESTINGDevelop thorough understanding of building science and building codes.
Develop testing standards and processes required to enable operation efficiencies.
Identify and conduct suitable ASTM testing, analyze testing data to deliver insights and recommendationDevelop new test methods to validate product and system performanceInforms meaningful technical claims to enable product differentiationAct as knowledge liaison between MMS and peer groups Drive with speed:
execute prototyping and testing needs to meet aggressive time expectation LAB DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATIONS:
Work with MMS team and peer groups to help deliver a successful completion of brand new prototyping and testing lab.
Work with team leader and peers to build lab operation process to ensure efficicies and effectiveness.

JOB REQUIREMENTSMINIMUM
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science, with a focus on building science and civil engineering preferred.
Analysis:
Ability or experience to independently develop statistic analysis to drive data-based insights and recommendationsModeling:
Experiene or ability to learn modeling and digital tools, including but not limited to AutoCAD or 3D drawings software, such as Solidworks, Inventors, etc.
Communication:
strong communication skills to drive team discussions, alignment and stakeholder presentations.
People skills:
strong interpersonal skills for building relationship inside and outside of the prototype and testing team.
Experience and knowledge of laboratory practices and ASTM testing related to building and construction is a plus.
Ability to repetitively lift objects up to 50 lbs, and stand for a large portion of the dayExperience or capability to learn machinery operation, such as woodwork tools, injection molding machine, compounder, extrusion machine.
