Manufacturing Automation Process & Controls Engineer

Location: Granville, Ohio - United States PURPOSE OF THE JOB As a member of the Sensor Development, Controls, and Automation Team within the Advanced Manufacturing organization, you will provide engineering innovations to increase the reliability, availability, reporting, and monitoring of plant facilities and equipment. Reports to : Sensor Development, Controls, and Automation Team Leader Span of Control : Individual Contributor JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you will: Be the primary expert on automations systems and concepts to improve production methods, equipment performance, facility layout, and quality of products Engage with plant leadership teams and engineers to identify and translate business needs into clear project and system specifications. Prototype, design, create, develop, and manage systems to automate or reduce human interaction Provide project leadership to define and execute projects on-time and on-budget Lead and engage single or cross-functional project teams accountable for design, development, and implementation of defined solutions Collaborate with all project stakeholders to ensure consistent communication Provide change leadership to manage the transition to the innovation to ensure that the change is adopted, project benefits are achieved, and project outcomes are sustainable. Partner with operations/technical leaders to understand and solve business needs by integrating off-the-shelf solutions or developing new solutions where no off-the-shelf technology exists Leverage partnerships with best in industry vendors to drive innovation through emerging technologies Leverage external resources and networks to provide an ?outside-in-perspective? to Owens Corning to help drive change Work within a network of internal peers that have diverse background, bringing out the best in the team Support the development of project team members by providing clear responsibilities, feedback, and opportunities for growth JOB REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor?s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or similar degree. Master?s degree is preferred Preferred 5-10 years of manufacturing experience (operations and/or applying technology in a manufacturing production) with demonstrated technical and leadership skills Travel: up to 35% globally EXPERIENCE: Hands on technical experience with: PLC/HMI programming/troubleshooting and support Robotics, motion controls, motors, pneumatics, electronics, and basic scripting Articulation and movement of equipment CAD design knowledge with Solidworks, AutoCAD, or equivalent Electrical design and understanding of P&IDs Industrial networks and communication protocols TPM and delivering solutions that are at step 3 of autonomous maintenance Project management experience leading small to large scale projects, including initiatives with global reach, technology, processes, cross-functional teams, and partner team members. PMI certification preferred Experience with cross-functional teams that include third party experience and an aptitude to build strategic and execution-focused plans and alliances with partner leadership Experience with business operations and understanding the pillars and principles of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES : Able to understand a broad range of technical issues and demonstrates unconventional, out-of-the-box thinking in approaches to problem resolution. Works well across functions; forms and leverages connections across business functions to advance work and enhance project success. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
