Finance Operations Leader

Location: Granville, Ohio - United States The Advanced Manufacturing Finance Operations Leader is responsible for building and leading a world class Center of Excellence for business case development, Life-Cycle Cost analysis, LRP analysis, and Capital Efficiency reporting, and best practices in Cost Control and Project Estimating. The position is an integral partner in executing the Advanced Manufacturing strategic direction, data driven life-cycle cost decisions, and creating competitive advantage in the marketplace. The position collaborates closely with the Advanced Manufacturing NLT and their teams, and business unit Operations and Finance teams. This position reports to the Director, Global Capital Sourcing. Responsibilities: Business Case, Life Cycle Costing and Value Creation - Center of Excellence Lead business case development for major projects partnering with members of the Adv. Manufacturing Team, Technology and Finance Lead creation and deployment of an OC specific Life-Cycle Cost Analysis framework, aligned with TPM, to guide optimal capital investment decisions to maximize ROI Provides decision support through financial modeling, business case analysis and financial/management reporting in support of projects and corporate objectives Acts as the liaison between Adv. Manufacturing and business segment (BMG &CSB) Manufacturing Finance with active involvement in key performance indicators, cost drivers, and process and calendar integration Drives, and leads through influence, to standardize and consolidate cost estimating and cost control across the business units to reduce waste, reduce cycle time and improve accuracy and accountability. Be recognized as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and stakeholders through excellence in business case development, data modeling, and scenario planning Provide ad-hoc analytical support on cross functional projects and capital supplier negotiations Lead a robust post audit process to ensure learning and continuous improvement. Using LRP (Long Range Plan) to drive informed business decisions and supplier partnerships Working closely with business units to develop collective LRP to enable a proactive view of strategic opportunities for the creation of external partnerships. Collaborate with Adv. Mfg. NLT and Leaders with utilization of LRP for resource planning by discipline and global/regional requirements. Lead the utilization of the LRP to eliminate surprises and insure that our 7 Stage Process in initiated with the right involvement of resources. Knowing the Company and our Suppliers from an external and internal perspective, Continuously builds intimate insight and knowledge of critical supplier base, their business, what is necessary for the supplier to be successful, and the value that our current and future global supply base delivers to Owens Corning. Collaborates with the business and Adv. Mfg. NLT & Leaders to assure supplier management strategies are aligned with commercial strategies for the businesses and investment plans for the plants. Ensures operations are consistent with the global supplier code of conduct and OC values. Ensures appropriate level of Supplier Management (including overall commercial account management) for supply base and make this a linchpin of continuous improvement for OC/supplier relationship and results. Develops strong understanding of key supplier industries through ?outside in? perspective and regularly calibrate the contemporary state of this perspective. Provides a sophisticated view of our Suppliers so risks and opportunities are well understood by business decision makers, and specific actions are taken as a result. Assist in establishing a global outsourced operating model, strategy and program, focused on delivering results, driving continuous improvement and collaboration to optimize business value. Develops an enterprise-wide strategy and framework, including, but not limited to supplier governance, performance management, continuous improvement and joint collaboration; introduction of TPM principles; coordination with Adv. Mfg. NLT & Leaders and business partners, as appropriate; development and implementation of supporting systems, processes and tools; and risk analysis and mitigation. Develops, prioritizes and implements global supplier management processes and tools that are timely, complete, and meet end-user needs. Keeps a forward looking, long term view of key trends and activities which will significantly impact the business, and adjusts programs as needed. Works closely with business partners in the selection, qualification and understanding of supplier risk and capability. Develops and deploys supplier quality system assessments and process audits in to assess compliance to defined requirements. Improves performance levels of purchased services through coordination of supplier workshops, improvement meetings, etc. Drives strategic implementation of processes and procedures to address supplier performance deficiencies. Lead coordination of improve Cost Control and Project Estimating model and technology that will drive towards consistency between all business units, and financial metrics that demonstrate leverage in the supplier base and best practices in commercial contracting. Job Requirements Experience: 5- 7 years of experience in global finance and sourcing environment. In addition, must have a minimum of 7 years of Operations, Engineering, or other highly technical background experience. Experience at creating and implementing strategies at a comprehensive and global level within a corporate environment for supply chain or businesses. Strong team player, with experience and strong results in team-based matrix organizations geographically and functionally Strong negotiating and contract skills Motivator of teams, able to select, develop and retain high quality staff. Has significant experience managing high performing teams across geographic boundaries and bringing fresh thinking to talent management and succession planning. Demonstrated track record of results, strong commercial orientation, with thorough understanding of financial statements, especially cash flow and cash generation, cost reduction, productivity, and working capital. Demonstrated success in implementing best practices or programs throughout a business unit or across business units. BS degree in Business, Engineering, Operations or related field is required; MBA from a well-regarded institution is beneficial. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of budget formulation, administration, capital program budgeting, resource allocation, program and supplier evaluation, and reporting. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
